The sad thing about this is it's going to sell for all the wrong reasons. Society is so pathetic that most people are just going to buy this so they can receive validation or approval from their peers.

Work on the presentation, windows and image, some things are just not meant to be made from fiction to non fiction.

If I could, I'd pre-order. Definitely tomorrow's truck, today. Have to work out some kinks, sure. But so do Ford, GM, Chrysler, everybody else that's been on the game MUCH LONGER are still "fixing" things…

I am very disappointed by the Tesla truck. It's got to be the ugliest thing since the Aztec, and breaking it's "unbreakable" windows at the reveal? It seems they put more into "hey, we're using a variant of gorilla glass for the windows as a gimmick" than they put into designing a useful truck…. you know, they kind of vehicle that people who actually use trucks as trucks need. I think it has to do with the people designing the truck, people like Musk, being so far removed from reality, and from the daily work done by millions of Americans, that they've forgotten what is actually needed.

Elon musk is a joke! Immagine this pos building a shuttle that you had to rely on into space. It's gonna flop in a big way. Don't buy any of his stock. You'll lose your shirt. Moreover who do you think is funding him? C I A! Biggest criminals on the planet.

WHO GIVES A SH-T ABOUT (not so) BULLETPROOF GLASS? THE LEVEL OF HYPE SURROUNDING SUCH A BUTT-UGLY VEHICLE IS THE REAL JOKE FOR TESLA!

Serious amount of rear-end sag when nothing more than an ATV was loaded in it. My guess is that the suspension pales in comparison to what a REAL truck would offer.

And $70k just to get the AWD drive version?

Tesla fan boys and Trump heads have one thing in common – no amount of fact will dissuade them from their alternate reality.

Alright. That glass thing was bad, but does the aesthetic really matter that much? It's a pick-up truck for God's sake, it's not like Chevy's next pickup is going to win runway model of the year anytime soon.

GOOD THING THEY DIDN'T HAVE AN ASTRONAUT BEHIND THAT GLASS BEFORE PERFORMING THAT BALL BEARING TEST FOR THE FIRST TIME.

Umm last I checked, glass windows are supposed to be breakable in case a wreck happens and the driver/passenger cant get out. How is everyone overlooking this?

Have you noticed a trend, yet?

Every time your TV set – and your favorite pundit – tells you that Musk will fail?

    He keeps succeeding, instead.

ZIP2, Paypal, Solar City, Boring Company, Tesla, SpaceX…

    Do some math.

    Give it a think, 😉

the truck is EXACTLY what we SCIFI-Fans wanted to see in the auto-industry, for decades!
Instead of eggy shapes, Musk came out as the first with such a vehicle!
The glass is strong enough by the way!

The glass breaking like that was an interesting and memorable detail that's easily forgiven. It'll get people talking. I like that the design is overindulgent.

I did two things: I downvoted and then reported this video (the only form of engagement that actually hurts a creator).
Secondly, the window itself didnt break just cracked. Based on the earlier glass test this was the result of rigid glass to frame attachment. That problem is very fixable.

I do this because there are peoples crazier than me, and they watch. You are not a star. I am the only star here. I am the only important person. Singular.

I want to see it in a crash test…drop it on its roof, will its roof collapse? Saab was the only car that could survive a roof drop…can Teslas do the same?

Have you seen what happens when you shoot bulletproof glass? It shatters to absorb the impact of the round and stops it from going through. Just about everybody missed that point. Let me throw a 3 to 4-inch steel ballbearing at your side window and let's see what happens, I'm pretty sure I'd cave your head in doing it.

When the media establishments want Elons ventures to fail they inadvertently succeed further. It's not like you'll ever see GM, or anyone from Big auto that would stress test a vehicle in front of audiences while gaining attention for such a different perspective. Considering this is the first truck, I cant even imagine how the other iterations will be 🙂 Jus give me a Warthog with all wheel steering and drive lol

I hope that isn't the production model.
Looks like something out of a low budget 1970's sci-fi show.
I think the guy from the Red/Green show got busy one day !

Too boxy, too gray, too dull, looks like legoland. Whatever happened to curvy bodies. No one said that you cant have a beautiful electric truck.

Aside from keeping thieves out, and fear of daily mortal gun fire combat – doesn't one want the windows to be breakable in an emergency when / if doors are pinned? Or does cyborgtruck comes with a zero altitude ejection escape pod with parachute too? Being sarcastically curious…
