Pushing for a kinder, gentler more efficient TSA is like putting lip stick on a pig.
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated" seems to be totally irrelevant.
    Abolish the TSA.

"liberal conspiracy machine" – Sean Hannity.

Sean is absolutely nuts! He thinks it's logical to argue some kind of "liberal conspiracy" but if you believe 9/11 was an inside job, then you're nuts.

@turboteabag08 YES. Obama REFUSED to appear in federal court to prove his birth. HELLO do any of us get to REFUSE to appear in court? N O — if his flipping the court off is not enough, he spent $4 million tax payer money for a vacation to Hawaii.

And involves having my genitals touched_ As a child, I was told to report immediately to my parents any kind of touching by any adult_ We teach children touching is not ok_ Plus, google: "TSA caught stealing", "TSA dealing drugs", "TSA rapists", "TSA agent says he's god"_ These are not good people, TSA were in charge on 911_ Private security is much better_

@bobisaboy Yeah. I got my absentee ballot in the mail. I'm voting for Ron Paul today, then sending it back. A lot of people are trying to bundle up money to donate to Dr. Paul.

Rand Paul has unfortunately been all too forgiving about this incident, especially considering that he could easily have cited Article 1 Section 6 of the Constitution and took the whole TSA to task for breaking the law by detaining a Congressman on his way to the Capitol. The TSA needs to be PUNISHED, not reformed for doing this to him. Yeah, I get that he doesn't want special treatment, and I admire that, but he undermines the Constitution by refusing to enforce the rules it set forth.

I love Rand Paul, but he got this one wrong. He shouldn't be saying the TSA is doing it wrong, but implying they're legitimate. He should be saying the TSA is illegitimate! If people are concerned about safety, they can choose a airline that provides the level of security they are comfortable with. These security measures should be voluntary, not forced by the federal government.

@Hylanvahr The way he is playing this is really smart. The people that read the Constitution nod their heads at his anger with the TSA and point out that the Constitution also says that their detaining of a Senator is unconstitutional, even if he had committed a crime. The sheeple that don't read it can't ridicule his points for his demanding of special treatment – and that might even wake some of them up.

@taylorzr I agree. I'm not as big of a fan of Rands as I am his father. His father is awesomely intellectual about all the matter. Rand seems more standard fair republican to me. Still a great guy buy most regards, but I think he looks more for republicanesque answers to these questions and will most likely be on the side of legislating morality than his father would ever be.

@tbscrazy12 Well, I'd probably vote for him. But I've seen through the years that, imho, he doesn't have the intellectual depth on the matters his dad has. They've both even talked on air about the fact that they disagree on a lot of things. Ron's message is a very clear cut idea that spreads across all matters and is all encompassing. Rand seems to like playing the political game and legislating. You may be totally right though.

Hannity is a war mongering neoconservative Zionist puppet that is literally too stupid to realize the damage he is helping perpetuate against his own nation.

Why the heck would you go on this guys show when he doesn't even know the basic core principles of liberty or our foundation?

@MrDeathSmiles I dont. I hire a private plane when I fly now. You can hire a small prop plane and pilot for just a little more than what it costs to fly on a commercial airliner. Prop planes are slower…but you show up at the airfield and just throw your bag on the plane. No lines. No security. This cuts about an hour off on each end of the trip. Besides…I like the headphones. I enjoy hearing the pilot communicate with the towers.

Rand is clearly playing politics on this. I personally would like to see rand take a stronger stand on this. Even though in washington merely pointing out the obvious is almost a revolutionary act i really expect more from somebody named Paul. I want Rand to say fuck this police state – we don't need no babysitters. I want Rand to point out that some underwear bomber is not an existential threat to the republic – but TSA is.

@SDupe44 My comment earlier was a joke, but anyway if Obama hadn't signed the NDAA half the people criticizing him for signing it would be criticizing him for not signing it lol! The bill was introduced by conservatives and is widely supported across the board, I don't know too much about their reasoning for it's support I just know some folks look for any reason to knock the President no matter what he does every chance they get.

@alexfreypattaya Ron Paul's & Rand Paul's views aren't exactly lock and step with one another. For example: I believe Ron Paul favors shutting down Guantanamo where as Rand does not. I believe Ron feels "international terrorists" should be tried as Americans with the ful Constitutional rights of an American citizen where as Rand does not. Regardless of what happens in 2012 I believe Ron is setting the stage for Rand who I believe will be a more formidable candidate one day. They are both great.

He seems like the kind of guy that knows what he is doing and is thinking one step ahead at all times. Look at the man's record in congress. He is the most libertarian member of the U.S. Senate and one of the most libertarian members in all of government. You consider him a sellout because he uses his right to endorse a candidate to support someone of whom you don't approve. Well, who the Hell are you? It's his damned business. As long as he continues to do a good job in Congress he can endorse Donald Duck for President for all I care. How dare you slander a good man?

Ron and Rand have pretty much the same position on everything but there's one big difference… their strategies.

Ron is in your face (politely) about all of it, Rand on the other hand is going at it slowly but surely. I like both Pauls, and their strategies.

He supported Romney but he claimed that both parties needed to slay their sacred cows. Rand took that ride to get his message out there, and yes, I approve of that strategy.
