no it's simple this is what happens when a parasitic governing system looks at people as economical dollars and not people! this whole system is out of control, I own property and I have been staying at my moms Why because of the ridiculess fee's just for permission to do any thing on it and all the laws attached to live on your own land I could make living pods for under a $1,000 if there was land to place them, there red tape on every thing is the biggest problem!!!

By all means though, keep letting in illegal immigrants by the thousands! California deserves the hell it's going through because they brought it on themselves!

There are over 20 million illegal immigrants in the US. California has the highest proportion of them .Their children become automatic US citizens. All of those people have to live somewhere, thus jacking up real estate prices and pushing others (US citiizens) out.

Finally, a leader who calls out the issues. To think, that all the effort put into the "Trump Impeachment" could have been used, for the good of people. I am so glad I am a resident of a "purple" state. Evers, although democratic, shows a logical side, to his politics.

Voters want to use half a billion for low income housing. Gavin Newscum wants to use that money to pay off state bonds. The half billion is now tied up in law suits, thanks to Newscum. Meanwhile, tourism is dropping. SF lost Oracle at the convention center; that's a loss worth hundreds of millions. What are the business losses for SF and the rest of the Bay Area, due to homelessness? Why isn't anyone doing the math? Looks like they're enjoying the homeless industry, quarter billion a year sucked up by the hospitals, ambulances, drug companies, SRO hotels, nonprofits, administration, politicians taking their cut, etcetera. It's a boondoggle. And if it bankrupts cities, that's great because the banksters get to buy up city assets cheaply.

Let's put the politicians on the street, set em up in cardboard boxes, and keep em on the street until they end the homeless crisis.

over half of the homeless in California are from other States.
    It is a national issue.
An actual mental healthcare system would go a long way in solving the issue.

With that said, Ben is in huge trouble with the republicans.

Republicans do not care one single bit about the homeless, they consider it a liberal issue, they would just round them up and stick them in prisons.
Ben needs to get back on message, and blame ALL problems on liberals.

It's getting more expensive everywhere- and not just in California. Bottom line, we need lower housing costs for US citizens. Make it happen. When you have a decent job, no debt, but need a roommate to make ends meet, THAT is a problem. I get 1300 stolen from me every month from taxes. Im thankful to be alive, but I deserve better than this for how hard I work.

How many Calif homeless are illegal immigrants??
We had 1 million come in to BP last year & released.

Then there were many more that snuck in while BP was feeding babies & taking thousands to hospitals for free care

Multiple millions probably live on streets.

If that's the Majority of the homeless—- no help required. DEPORT

    Why is Cali so bad:
    1) Remember all the fires?
    2) Cities been taking money from developers for decades, and letting them build only market rate houses.
    3) CA has been taking in homeless from other states, as they can actually live through the winter here.
    4) There are many small automation companies in CA that can build tiny homes in a day. Lift the restrictions, and let them build out onto industrial properties as well as the fire damaged land.
    5) Bring back mental health to our state, and clean up our corrupt healthcare system.
The state could actually turn around quickly, but these scumbags would rather point fingers at each other instead of proposing solutions. And as long as their property values and their bank accounts keep getting fatter, they're not going to take this situation seriously…

Ben Carson: all you needed was a strong back and a willingness to work – That's not the case now. It's not even about having the proper degrees, skill or training. there is a lot of filthy things going on not only with our politicians, but with our corporations. In case you're wondering why California really looks like this it's because there is no middle class. Corruption and unfettered capitalism has led to feudalism in this state.

The Trump admin. asked for that money back and Newsom refused. Who us serious about helping people? Certainly NOT Gov. Newsom. He is pocketing that money to further his nefarious plans.

This is a 4 Pronged issue. ( attempt from a Conservative libertarian)
Severe Mental Health Issues : The Solution is to bring back the Mental Health Asylums but this time, use Private hospitals with public money to ensure best quality for a fair price. This is a public safety issue just like the Fire Department or Prisons, This is not free housing for everyone but a place to treat the Severely mentally disabled in a manner to help them transition to independent life (Internships lead to jobs). Some will re-enter society if mentally sufficient but some others will remain in care. They may appeal for release at any time which requires judges signature for release.

Drug Abuse: This is simply a matter of stopping public drug abuse by allowing police enforcement of public intoxication laws and offering those Suffering from drug abuse caused homelessness contact with a private rehab centers in they want to clean up. No cost to taxpayers and always extending an open hand for those who want to help.

Lack of affordable housing created by Government regulations: Simple solution is to get government out of the way of the free market by only having light building codes for residential and commercial buildings. And without things like Zoning laws / Heavy Fees / waiting times that scare away general contractors from building.

Government handouts: Welfare handouts allow the mentally fit homeless who really are there by choice to turn a welfare safety net to turn into a hammock. This is really a San Francisco problem with the hippy types that leach of the taxpayers that got families to feed and lives to live.
