Hi, everyone! It’s good to see you again
here at the Cleveroad Studio. Today, we have some really interesting stuff from ProductHunt
to look at. So, sit back and get comfortable. You may find some of this useful. Do you want to be kept up to date with the
latest news around the globe regardless of your location? Of course, you do!
Unfiltered.news is a new service which gives you the opportunity to find out what the world
is talking about at the moment but in a more colourful and entertaining way.
This product was built by Jigsaw whose main aspiration is to provide free access to information.
Everything is pretty easy! Unfiltered.news is news without borders.
Now readers can have access to news which may not be covered in their area.
With this service, you can check the publishers, compare different perspectives on an issue,
and track its coverage over time. Unfiltered.news employs Google News data,
scans global news stories on individual topics across all languages, counts the number of
times a particular topic appears each day, and categorizes them by the location of the
publication mentioning the topic. The result — you’re kept aware of all the
most recent news items wherever you are! On entering the site, you’ll see a map.
But this map will look a bit different from others, because it consists of info bubbles.
All the hottest information for a region is stuffed into a separate bubble. Here, the
size of a word represents the number of times a topic has been mentioned in the daily news.
The bigger it is, the more mentions a topic has had.
Click on a topic and you will also see the other places it was mentioned.
The service is now available as a public beta, so check it out! Those of you who have ever planned an organised
bus trip, should know how cumbersome this process can be. That is until now, actually.
Because today, with the help of a new App called Sharethebus, hiring a bus is not a
problem anymore. Sport teams, corporations, festival & concert
fanatics, colleges & universities… all can become Sharethebus clients. Over a one-year period, one Montreal-based
startup has already moved 50,000 people between more than 200 North American cities.
Sharethebus is a platform where event organizers, bus owners, and travellers can easily find
each other. The two most attractive things about the service are that it sells tickets
to the most popular music festivals and provides a bus rental service, to get you there.
The bus search and reservation engine is very similar to an ordinary car rental service.
Here you can choose the departure point, the place you’re going to go, the leaving and
return dates, and so forth. Then you will be asked to choose the type
of bus you require, from a school bus to coach. Users can either rent the whole bus and sell
tickets to individual passengers, or individuals and groups can split the bill for the trip. So, If you happen to live somewhere in North
America, then you’re lucky enough to be able to try this amazing service for an upcoming
event. Now, for an exciting piece of news for all
avid collectors around the world! Let me introduce Clectaverse or Clect, a new platform where
collectors or every type can show off their inventories, communicate with each other,
exchange and buy everything they need to enlarge or complete their collection.
Clect is a combination of social network and marketplace. Actually, it’s a geek’s dream.
No more Pinterest, Instagram, eBay, Craigslist or Reddit. Now, you have everything in one
place! Thanks go out to Morgan Spurlock, Steve Brumwell,
Karl Roberts and Jon Midgley, who are the administrators of this collector community
and co-founders of this great service. The process is very easy. First, you’re
asked to create an account. Then you find people with common interests, browse through
suggested interest groups and collections, communicate, and share.
You can also participate in discussions to find new friends and soulmates. To involve
people in a new public conversation, post your own topic and wait for a response.
If you have only just found out about Clectaverse, hurry up, create your account, add your own
collections and participate in some of the other wonderful things suggested by the service.
The Clect application is waiting for you in the Apple App Store.
Well, I guess that’s enough for today. If you want to try some or all of the Apps featured,
