This guy is an idiot. Most people with half a brain know it was a stupid, unplanned move from Trump (as most of his tantrums are), he is just another person that has to make excuses for Trump's sake. Trump is just retaliating and trying to diverge attention from the impeachment inquiry as any spoiled child would. Ever since I started picturing Trump as a child, things make much more sense.

Good job holding Esper's feet to the fire Chris Wallace, Because if Esper isn't lying though his teeth (He is) Then not only did Trump abandon an ally, But ran away in cowardice at a threat and didn't even warn the Kurds of an imminent attack he was informed of making an already reprehensible act even more devious.

Had America stood in solidarity with the Kurds and lost even 1 soldier to a Turkish invasion, The entire world would of rose up to stand with America at what would of been undeniably been an invasion

When is this loud mouth Chris Wallace going to suit up to fight for the Kurds? It's easy to be an arm chair General and expert when other people's children are the ones dying.

Trump promised to eliminate ISIS in his first thirty days as president. Didn't happen, obviously, even with help from the Kurds. Wars are never good, but when is it ever right to abruptly abandon your allies? You can't trust Trump's America.

US allowed Turkey in. US does not want to fight a strong Turkey only weaker countries with oil and wants to destabilize the ME to pick up the pieces.

It is not an easy decision for president Trump to withdraw the troops from Syria. Nowadays, it is not necessary to keep troops on the ground to prevent terrorism. It is better to withdraw orderly than repeating the disorderly withdrawal of troops in Vietnam. The Turk has no right to invade northern Syria. NATO members have the responsibility of calling in Turkey. Beside, other NATO countries refuse to take back their own Isis national (terrorists) . NATO is totally ineffective and it is good that president Trump shook up the organization.

    Trump makes a fantastic move!
US was fighting an endless war in Syria and Iraq for no purpose. ISIS has been destroyed. The Kurds and Turks had been fighting since time immemorial. The Kurds were not annihilated for centuries, what makes you think they will be annihilated now?
Staying in Syria was expensive for US. That's why Europe is not there even though its their backyard.
Instead Trump placed troops in Saudi Arabia to maintain a presence in Middle East and deter Iran from attacking Israel. Troops are also not in harms way. The best deal is Saudi is paying for the troops. Awesome chess player.

Hey Esper, are you a traitor to your country like Trump is? Trump removed the US forces from the northern border of Syria at the order of Putin/Russia. America is not benefitting from the removal, only Turkey and Russia are benefitting. Trump is a traitor to America and needs to be removed from office ASAP before he can do any more damage to America!

But Turks are NaTo allieds and They are fighting Isis also. Wallace sugests get a war against Turks? Idiot!!

I really dislike Chris Wallace. He sounds like he doesn't care about the certain deaths of our American soldiers who are currently on the border of Turkey and the Kurds. Trump has always said he is concerned with America first and did not want to police the world. Unfortunately, it seems the world has given him no choice since he has been in office.

Erdogan is a militant dictator along the lines of Castro and Guevara. Turkey has been inching along and pressuring to create the opportunities to seize land that is not theirs. They will open the gates and flood Europe with refugees? Doesn't sound like an "ally", they seem more complicit in the troubles than helpful

America has a serious lesson to learn– to stay out of other people's/nation's businesses. For what it's worth I've been to Turkey a few times over the years. The people are nice, friendly, always wanting to sell you something and not many pay attention to how their government works. It's run very much like a cabal. The President wields most of the powers, including the appointments for all the cabinet positions. There are separation of powers but for the most part the leader calls the shots with no dissenting arguments. They're going to do what they are going to do. Americans have no business in Syria– it's a failed state. Let Turkey and the Kurds work it out.
